I was recently in a relationship with an older woman that I worked with...We almost made it 2 yrs, regardless of the ups and downs...Me being the office help, everyone frowned @ our being together, But we just smiled back...During our two years together, I had to deal with her ex's who she claimed were her support system, because she moved here from San Diego. and her mother is crazy, I mean crazy..And, her Dad had abandoned her when she was a little girl...Basically she had no family, except these old relationships that she hung on too...Yes, I was a little disturbed that she remained friends w/ ex's, because I believe 2 out of (3) had other intentions...And she concurred that - Anyways, she had gotten a DUI while we were together, which really hit rock bottom for her..She has a Master's degree in social work..So she acted like she would never, ever get into any trouble with the law...So, she ended up having to do 4 days in jail, and tell our boss..YIKES..! So, after awhile she started going to church again, to try and seek GOD..Which I have no problem with, But why did she have to put me on the shelf..? We talked about getting Married, and having some kids...We used to hang out everyday, weekends, lunch @ work..Now nothing..;( And, I have to work with her...And, when I see her my heart just skips several beats, Cause I am still in LOVE with her, and, I am soo attracted to her...
Feedback would be appreciated..How to cope with an office break up?
I am sorry your heart is broken. It makes it much harder to see the one you love. She has made a decision, which you have no control of. Of course, this hurts and it will hurt for a long time. Time does take care of these things. Good luck.
