How does one cope with a recent break-up?

I feel terrible. I wasn't expecting this. She just broke up with me, and after 2 hours of talking to me, the only reason she gave was that I acted too shy around her friends. Wow. And now I can't sleep. How does one cope with a recent break-up?
First of all, just breathe. I've been where you're at right now, and I can tell you that you're going to get through this. I'm not going to lie to you and say it'll be easy, but you'll get through it.

Her reasoning is either very shallow, or just an excuse. Either way, she wasn't the girl that you were looking for. As great as she might have seemed, dumping you like that was a low blow. You deserve someone who won't dump you at the drop of a hat with no valid reason.

Until you find that special someone, confront how you feel about this head on. Keeping yourself occupied will numb the pain, but it won't reconstruct your psyche enough to have a good relationship any time soon. So, explore your feelings in healthy ways. Talk to supportive friends or family about it. Maybe explore some artistic ways to work through your feelings. Just don't go too far. If you go seriously emo, you're doing it wrong!

And finally, just try to keep on living a normal life. Do things you would normally do. Even though you might have conflicted feelings, still try to meet new people, make new friends, pursue new romantic interests. If you're a very shy person, then don't let this discourage you. Again, not everyone will be as mean as your ex - you'll find someone in time.

Anyway, good luck and keep up the good fight! How does one cope with a recent break-up?
you know this is the shock of it all

when you see her wit other people it will hit you like a mack truck that she is not your s and does not like you.

it will hurt more in a couple days.

but... i think you should stay ocqupid
You keep yourself very distracted. Do anything to keep yourself from thinking about it. Preferably a sport or something that is physically draining so you'll be more exhausted and more likely to fall asleep.
